The Hunt for the Perfect Otterhound-A Guide for Judges and Owners

It is critical for all judges of our breed to understand what is most important about our breed's standard.  On this website you have the opportunity to see our Illustrated Standard as well as see the dogs at work in the video of hounds hunting.  Below you can see our presentation of the Hunt for the Perfect Otterhound, a presentation prepared by former member Kiki Lamb in collaboration with other members.  Though you can watch this video, it's not the same as attending one of our judges' education seminars where one of our presenters can walk you through the standard and go over the finer points of the Otterhound breed. Please take an opportunity to attend a session at a Regional or National Specialty or find a training for the hound group where we make every effort to have a presenter.  You can also get your hands on a group of Otterhounds--there's no better way to educate yourself.
